My name is Melissa Masse ( CSPT, CIS & Preceptor) creator of  Excel with SPD Tutor Time. I started in sterile processing with zero knowledge in 2016. I excelled in my training to where I was transferred to my hired shift with in two months. The manager of SPD approached  me to see if I would be interested in becoming a preceptor for the SPD department which I was excited to help my peers to excel in their knowledge. I decided to travel as a sterile processing tech to see how other sterile processing departments operated ,which has been interesting to say the least and to absorb more knowledge and move forward in my field. I was offered a Lead travel position in Sterile processing decontamination area to improve the quality, work flow and precept the staff for a little over a year an a half. I have worked as a Decon specialist which holds extreme amount of knowledge in how Ortho Loaner tray pieces come apart to alleviate bio burden. I had set a goal  for myself to become an Educational Coordinator of Sterile Processing within five years which has come true with all my hard work and dedication.
